What Is a Polki Diamond?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Polki diamonds are uncut diamonds in their rough, natural state. They have no facets and receive no major polishing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Polki will generally have one flat side and one pointed side; either side can be used in jewelry, but the flat side usually faces upward. In traditional Indian jewelry design, jewelers commonly set polki in 24k gold. They also add silver foil backing to the polki in order to make them shine brighter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
